Vanity (Photo Friday)

Vanity (Photo Friday)

So this is my attempt for the PhotoFriday contest. I think this picture works for 'Vanity'. This shot wasn't set up for the Vanity entry. Just kinda worked out that way. This was actually my first attempt at a 'studio' type shot. I don't have a studio. Just used a white bed sheet and some lamps I have in my room. Lighting technique is something I want to dabble into in the future. I would really love to be able to take excellent portraits of people. UPDATE

Here is Angie's Photoblog as promised. Still working on it but it's working.
Camera: Canon EOS 20D (Canon)
Focal Length: 32 mm
Exposure: 1/100 sec
Aperture: f 4
ISO: 400

  • brilliant, perfect for the photofriday contest. You're studio worked well, who needs a flash studio with £1000's worth of equipment :)

  • I like the eyes in this image. The darker makeup really makes them jump out at me from behind all that blond hair.

Thanks for the link to Angies blog. I'll go and check it out now.

  • the hair is a real mess, but the face is what stands out.

  • As I told you in my email the other day, this image is very clever. The level of detail is astounding down to the detail of the eyes which really makes this image stand out.

There isn't one thing I would change on this - it's perfect.

It's one of those images that you see on the covers of sword/sorcery fantasy novels - A Fairie Queen of Summer. :>)

Man, I do like this image a lot.

    Amazing.
