Owens Field Skatepark

Owens Field Skatepark

I actually went out and shot some pics today for about an hour. I been wanting to go out here a while and check out the park that Columbia had. I guessed there would be maybe a handful of skaters out. To my suprise it was pretty packed. Lot of guys were pretty good out there. What I liked about this guy was the air he was getting. That's really what I was looking for... As for the picture, I've been wanting to try this technique for a while. Now I didn't plan on doing this type of shot until after I was looking at the pictures. It's got some major flaws but I think it's pretty decent for a first attempt. I'm dying to post a new pic so here it is....
Camera: Canon EOS 20D (Canon)
Focal Length: 140 mm
Exposure: 1/1000 sec
Aperture: f 4
ISO: 100

  • I've seen this technique but I'm not sure how you did it in daylight.

  • Joe: it's not exactly what you think...i just took 3 shots in burst mode...stacked em...and erased the guy through to the top layer....

  • Did you need a tripod for this technique?

  • you could i suppose...i'm just gonna try to keep the camera as still as possible next i try this....really impossible to use a tripod in this situation, unless the guys are intentionally going in frame...

  • I don't really see any flaws...impressive for your first time!
