Folly Beach Pier

Folly Beach Pier

My photography seems to be lackin' lately. I think a lot has to do with me tired of winter. Lot of props to the people that live where it's really cold. This is from Folly Beach, South Carolina. It was so bright on the beach I started playing with 'Exposure Bias' for a certain shot. I ended up leaving the camera down 2 whole stops for half the day. So I ended up having some pretty dark pictures. The birds at the end of the pier bother me. Ash Gonna put a link to Angie's first photo here by Monday.
Camera: Canon EOS 20D (Canon)
Focal Length: 78 mm
Exposure: 1/4000 sec
Aperture: f 4
ISO: 100

  • For a long time I was puzzled where there were little, distant, birds in every shot I did of the sky, and then I realized that I needed to clean the sensor :-)

This shot's nice-- the perspective is interesting how the end of the pier intersects the "traintrack" into the distance.

  • The best thing I aprouved when I see your picture is that you do not used Photoshop for post-production. Some people (I won't tell their name) abuse of it . That why this is an EXCELLENT picture.

  • yeah, i started to edit them out since they look more like dirt than birds...

you can put my name at the top of that list..it was post processed in photoshop

  • great depth of field in this - excellent. for the record, i think most photobloggers use photoshop and i don't see any problem with that, as long as any major changes to the image are acknowledged. colour correction is one thing - but I do agree that a few people go a little tooo far.
